NorthCraft Deck Services begins its epoxy floor painting process by first grinding the floor using a floor grinder. This process is similar to sanding and is critical to a long lasting floor painting job. This will clean the floor and also rough it up enough so that the floor coating will stick and stay stuck. The result will be a surface that feels like 100 grit sandpaper. After this is accomplished we will rinse the floor with water to get it clean. After waiting for the floor to dry it is now clean and prepped for the epoxy floor painting.
Open both the epoxy paint and epoxy hardener cans. Make sure the floor is clean and ready to accept painting. Begin stirring the epoxy paint, then slowly pour the hardener into it. Make sure to scrape out every last bit of the hardener into the paint. Let the paint sit after stirring for 30 mins before starting to paint.Using a 3-inch paintbrush, cut in a line of epoxy around the floor border of the area to be covered, and paint it into seams and corners. Using a large roller finish painting the floor. Try not to forget and box yourself in.
Your epoxy floor is now in the floor sealing process. We only use the highest quality materials combined with superior workmanship. We understand how vital it is to maintain and preserve your floor and we take the stress and hassle out of your hands. Year in and year out we do research and talk to other professionals to find out the longest lasting and most durable materials to extend the life of your epoxy floor painting.
